Identity Series

n this series, Cosima delves into the complex and multifaceted concept of self as someone who has moved throughout her entire life. The work becomes a personal exploration in which she revisits photographs from her childhood and beyond, seeking to uncover the pivotal moments that shape identity. Through vivid colours and layered textures, she illustrates the transient nature of belonging and the continual search for a sense of home.

Her work questions when and how identity becomes essential, revealing the intersections of culture, memory, and personal history. The series also contemplates the influence of external perceptions on one’s self‑image, and how moving through different cultures reshapes an individual’s understanding of who they are.
